Nail Maintenance.

  1. Treat your nails as jewels, not tools.
  2. Apply a coat of topcoat between services to preserve your polish.
  3. Use cuticle oil regularly to keep your cuticles hydrated and any acrylic  product flexible.  The best time to use is at bedtime.
  4. Test your hold when lifting heavy objects.  Never put upward pressure on tips of your nails.
  5. Nails that are too long for your lifestyle and activity level resulting service breakdown. The higher the activity level, the shorter your nails should be.
  6. Do not change your nails polish more than once a week.  This will dry    out nails and cuticles.
  7. Use gentle liquid hand soap.  Bar soaps are very alkaline and drying. Hot Water and chemicals are the nails enemy, so WEAR GLOVES WHEN WASHING  DISHES OR DOING HOUSEWORK AND GARDENING.
  8. In case you break a nail  DO NOT  put a BANDAGE ON IT.  That will only Trap moisture and allow bacteria to grow between the lifted or cracked area. Call for a repair appointment.  In the mean time, keep it dry by either using a hair dryer or placing 99% Alcohol to dehydrate the area.  This is only a temporary solution!
  9. If nails are lifting or discolored, do not leave them untreated.  Please call for an appointment.
  10. Use a tool or a spoon to open flip top cans.
  11. If you no longer want to have acrylic enhancements, have the product professionally removed.  Do not rip, bite, or pull the enhancements off. this could permanently damage your nail underneath.
  12. Avoid using petroleum-based products such as Vaseline, baby oil and some tanning oils.  They damage acrylic and could lift the enhancement off.  If you do use these products wash your hands really well after application.
